Web Site Sets Record Goal of One Billion Free Downloaded Calendars in a Single Year

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Dec. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The beginning era of the pin-up girl, glamour and cheesecake model first gained its popularity in the 1930s; today pin-up art is making a comeback. A new Web site, www.Americaspinupcalendargirlfortheweek.com, hopes to carry on this great American tradition for new generations to come while providing the public with a tool that is not only useful, but visually appealing.
The mission of the Web site is to provide the public with free daily calendars of pin-up beauties posing in sexy outfits and high heels with an average of one billion downloaded each year. Every week, a new girl will model for the daily calendars.
Each calendar is a daily planner that provides space to enter appointments, activities and meetings from 6:00 a.m. to midnight.
"We hope that these calendars will be used as an important tool in planning peoples' daily schedules," Ronald Hayward, founder, said. "We also hope that these calendars will become the most popular around, with millions downloaded every day, printed out and pinned-up in homes and offices all around-the-world."
All calendars have an image of a beautiful model posing in attractive and alluring positions in various locations across America. Every year a total of 52 models will pose on 365 calendars. Models will represent a wide cross-section of ethnic backgrounds, ages, shapes and sizes.
Calendars for the first week of January 2007 are now online; seven new calendars will be added to the Web site each Sunday thereafter.
Each calendar also has a video clip next to it which represents that portion of a model's photo session. Interested calendar supporters can purchase video clips of their favorite models and watch them in action during their calendar shoot; all clips are miniature silent films and, according to Hayward, are of the highest quality available online. Most clips are 10-15 minutes in length and have a great deal of slow-motion footage.
