GASTONIA, N.C. - Oct. 8 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Stabilus, the world market leader in the design and manufacture of gas springs and hydraulic dampers, has appointed Anthony "Tony" Haba as President Stabilus Inc.

Mr. Haba will be responsible for Stabilus business operations in the North American market with facilities in North Carolina, Mexico and Michigan.

Haba was previously the Vice President of commercial operations at Stabilus. Prior to joining Stabilus he was Vice President of Sales at BorgWarner, A/FS Division and Vice President of Product Development for Textron, McCord Winn Division.

For decades, Stabilus products have been the international standard for applications requiring hydro-pneumatic adjustment elements (gas springs) and hydraulic vibration dampers.

Stabilus is now introducing a new line of electro-mechanical linear actuators (the Powerise product line) for use in automotive Power Lift Gate systems and industrial applications.
