Peoples Gas/North Shore Gas President DESIREE ROGERS To keynote
CHICAGO, IL – April 20 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — On Tuesday, April 26, 2005 the Chicago Lake Shore Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals(R) (IAAP) will host the largest gathering of Administrative Professionals in the Midwest. The 18th Annual Administrative Professionals Day(R) Luncheon will feature a keynote address by Desiree Rogers, President of Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas. Administrative Professionals from businesses throughout the city and region are expected to attend.

Administrative Professional’s Day will be officially recognized on Wednesday, April 27th, but a weeklong celebration will be observed from April 24-30th.
Administrative Professionals Week began in 1952 as a way to honor administrative staff for their efforts to attract more people to office and administrative careers. Now, the week-long workplace observance has become one of the largest in the nation (outside of major holidays).
“Each year this celebration of our profession gets larger and larger,” said Jeannette Peters, President of the Chicago Chapter of IAAP. “We are honored to welcome Ms. Rogers as our featured speaker as we continue our mission to offer leadership development to administrative professionals throughout the Chicagoland area,” she added.
The luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m., in the Michigan Room at the University Club, located at 76 E. Monroe in Chicago. Tickets are $35.00.

The Chicago Lake Shore Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals was chartered in 1945. The group hosts regular meetings which provide the opportunity to obtain training in leadership development, presentation skills and problem solving techniques – keeping members abreast of the latest developments in the administrative profession. The meetings also provide networking opportunities.
