WASHINGTON, DC – September 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — National R&B recording artist Lemme will release her debut CD entitled, “Take The Time” on October 11th, 2005 on the De-U Records label.
“I’m happy and excited to have the opportunity to bring my music to the world,” said Lemme. Her music is a mix of sensual, sultry old school R&B and new school upbeat funky rhythms. This rising giant’s musical influences include Anita Baker, Roberta Flack, Lena Horne, Patti Labelle and Diane Reeves.
“This is a labor of love for us. The entire world will now learn what we already know: Lemme is a star,” said David Printis, CEO, De-U Records.
Lemme is no stranger to success. She toured with acclaimed rap group “The Sporty Thievz” and appeared with them on the BET Soundstage Television series. She has also starred in the highly touted stage production of Platinum, which is an African American rendition of “Grease.”
She further honed her skills by cutting vocals in various recording studios and capturing gigs along the east coast. She was raised in the Washington, DC area and is a proud graduate of Bowie State University. Her music will be available for worldwide release on Cdbaby.com and selected retail outlets.
