BROCKTON, Mass., Feb. 23, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Project Moves Dance Company, Inc., the resident company of The Gold School of Dance Art in Brockton, Mass., is proud to announce its inaugural season opener, “One Human Race.” Performances for One Human Race will be held March 17 and 18, 2012, at the Boston Center for the Arts, Stanford Calderwood Pavilion. Tickets are $32 General Admission and available at the company’s website, www.projectmoves.org. Sponsorship packages for the non-profit 501(c)3 company are also available through the website.

“We are proud to begin our season with dance performances that expand on our message of understanding, tolerance and acceptance to a broad arts audience,” says company artistic director and choreographer, Rennie Gold. “The young dancers of Project Moves began this journey in 2010 with the strong desire to be the change generation by speaking out against bullying, a subject that hits close to home for many of the dancers. Inspired by the work of Kevin Epling, who lost his son to bullycide in 2002, One Human Race expands on that message and challenges all of us on our attitudes toward acceptance.”

One Human RaceThe company’s last performance, the critically-acclaimed “Accept ME,” premiered to full houses in Massachusetts and New York. “Riveting, awesome, polished, powerful, moving,” were the words used by Kevin Epling after experiencing Accept ME. “The most effective tools anti-bullying advocates have are prevention, education and raising awareness. Project Moves is triumphantly educating and raising awareness to national audiences through their art.”

Faced with high demand the company took their message of acceptance to one of the most prestigious dance stages in the country, The Joyce Theatre in New York City. And, upon invitation of the show producers, members of the dance company performed in a special segment about bullying on ABC’s top-rated “Dancing with the Stars.”
