ROSEVILLE, Calif., June 26, 2014 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The High Technology Crimes Investigation Association (HTCIA) will host its 28th Annual HTCIA International Conference & Training Expo August 24 through the 27 at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas. This year’s Keynote Speaker will be FBI Cyber Division’s Assistant Director Joseph M. Demarest.

As a veteran of the FBI, Demarest worked a variety of investigative matters, including counterterrorism, white collar crime, organized crime, drugs, violent crime and counterintelligence. He has held a number of supervisory and leadership positions at FBI Headquarters and in the field, including his former position as head of the International Operations Division.

Shadi Hayden, Conference Chair and HTCIA International Vice President is proud to present the 28th HTCIA International Conference & Training Expo, catering specifically to the educational and networking needs of those working to prevent and investigate high tech crimes, within the boundaries of their busy schedules. “Our attendees can expect to engage with industry leaders as they discuss the new challenges facing us today, as well the chance to learn new field-tested methodologies for dealing with current and future threats” said Hayden.

HTCIA has prided itself for over 28 years in offering unique and effective training and collaborative opportunities to its global members, and non-members alike.

Previous attendees of the HTCIA International Conferences are excited about this event and are looking forward to the same level of quality and expertise that can only be found at this conference.

“You actually got to sit and use the equipment/software while working on real world issues. A major advantage this conference has is that it’s put together by people who are working real cases, running into real problems, and coming up with real solutions; not a vendor or group of vendors trying to push their latest products,” says HTCIA Southwest member Matt Snyder, who attended the 2013 International Conference in Summerlin, Nevada and plans on attending this year.

The event is being hosted at the luxurious Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas overlooking the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Guests can enjoy the spa, championship quality golf course, and an on-site water park. The hotel is offering attendants a discounted hotel rate of $114/night. Rooms are quickly filling up so they recommend booking as soon as possible while rooms are still available at this amazing location!
