Healthcare Planning and Design Expert Will Lead Firm’s National Healthcare Practice
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Tsoi/Kobus & Associates (TK&A) is pleased to announce that Jocelyn Frederick, AIA, ACHA, OAA, LEED AP has joined the firm as a Principal. In her new role, Frederick will lead TK&A’s core national healthcare practice and enhance and extend its capabilities in planning and design for academic medical centers.
Frederick is internationally known for her expertise in complex healthcare planning and facility design for leading institutions throughout the United States and abroad, including The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Rush University Medical Center, the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Egyptian Air Force Hospital. She comes to TK&A from the Chicago office of Perkins + Will, where she was a Principal since 1995. She is highly regarded for her expansive knowledge of healthcare issues and trends, her incisive and analytical approach, and her success in guiding institutions to achieve strategic goals through optimal facility design.

Frederick graduated from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor’s degree in pre-architecture, and earned a master’s degree in architecture at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1978. She is a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects, a frequent lecturer at professional conferences and a regular contributor to key industry publications. She joins TK&A on April 1, 2009.
