NEW YORK, NY (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — VIBE Magazine’s January issue features unsigned draft pick Mark McLaughlin. Based on the R&B single “Brooklyn” VIBE states, “McLaughlin pays homage to hip hop heroes and reminisces over summer park jams in his street-hardened baritone.”
Mark Mclaughlin has opened for John Legend, Dwele, Remy Ma and Fat Joe and performed at various venues in NYC, The Village Underground, Nells, Dillon’s, The Soul Cafe, The Sugar with R&B legends “Ashford & Simpson” and The M Bar in Hollywood, California.
This is not Mark’s first national magazine appearance, he modeled in the April 2000 issue of Black Woman Magazine, though as the VIBE free agent pick it is the first time being recognized for his musical talent.
The highly anticipated album “Mark My Words” is a compilation of R&B, Hip Hop, and Soul. The album features songs from the film, “Puerto Rican Parade” premiering at major film festivals in the tri-state area this Spring.
The first single “Brooklyn” will be independently released by mid January and can now be heard on www.vibe.com.
