SEATTLE, Wash., May 20, 2015 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Nearly two-thousand people will march in thirteen cities throughout the Northwest for the 12th Annual Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy. All events benefit the uncompensated programs provided by the Epilepsy Foundation Northwest.
The month-long celebration and schedule is follows:
June 6, 2015 – Anchorage, Alaska.
June 13 – Bend, Oregon.
June 20 – (Washington State) Seattle, Spokane, Bellingham, Silverdale, Monroe, Olympia and Tri-Cities; (Oregon) Portland and Hermiston;
June 27 – Tacoma, Washington, and Medford, Oregon.
“Everyone is invited to participate in the Run/Walk events to support people living with epilepsy in their community,” said Brent Herrmann, CEO. “We are thrilled to have thirteen cities participating in this annual event to help bring awareness and funds to people in need.”
Proceeds from the multi-city walks support uncompensated programs and services including Camp Discovery for children with epilepsy and their siblings, year-round educational and support groups, self-advocacy and mentoring programs, veteran programs, emergency medication assistance, and seizure response training programs for school nurses and personnel, first responders and employers.
