LYNN, Mass., May 19 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Trusty-Step International, a manufacturer of slip-resistant floor chemicals, announces the opening of their new tile testing laboratory. The new laboratory will test all types of hard mineral surfaces, including tile, marble, granite, etcetera.

Caption: Trusty-Step InternationalAll tests will be in compliance with the recently revised ASTM 1028-06, “Standard Test Method for Determining the Static Coefficient of Friction of Ceramic Tile and other Like Surfaces by the Horizontal Dynamometer Pull-Meter Method.”

Test results will be provided to clients, enabling them to know the SCOF of a tile before purchasing or specifying it. This will let them know if that tile complies with the American’s with Disabilities Act requirements of 0.06 for horizontal surfaces and 0.08 for ramps, in all public buildings.
