CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 10 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Scott Forsyth, Director of Technology for ORCS Web, has been nominated by the Executive Alliance for the Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year Southeast 2009 award. The award, which recognizes information security executives and project teams for outstanding achievement in risk management, data asset protection, compliance, privacy, and network security, is one of the most widely recognized awards for IT security executives.

Forsyth and his team of Microsoft Certified professionals recently achieved Payment Card Industry (PCI) DSS Level 1 certification by Mastercard and Visa for their work with client CredEcard, meeting the stringent security specifications and processes of the PCI standard. Many of the security requirements of the standard were already being performed for all of ORCS Web’s clients, making the effort to achieve compliance one more of documenting what was already in place than instituting new security measures.
