HARRISBURG, PA (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council, along with Pennsylvania Protection and Advocacy, Inc., and the Institute on Disabilities, Pennsylvania’s University Center for Excellence, announces five Public Forums to be held in Pennsylvania. Each forum will provide people with disabilities, family and community members, and service providers with the opportunity to comment on existing services and supports in Pennsylvania for people with disabilities and families, as well as to suggest strategies for their improvement.

The sponsoring organizations are particularly interested in discussing new initiatives, ways of better protecting the civil and human rights of people with disabilities, and training opportunities.

For individuals unable to attend a forum, comments are being accepted online at www.paddc.org.

Forums will be held on the following dates:

Pittsburgh – Monday, October 17, 2005, 12 Noon to 2 PM
