Hearts On Fire: Born from Crisis - Built on Trust -- In the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires, a group of experienced female entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders came together with a shared vision—to provide immediate relief and long-term support to those affected. Hearts On Fire was born from this crisis, uniting our passion, expertise, and resources to create a trusted and effective response effort.
Though Hearts On Fire is new, our work is deeply rooted in trust, credibility, and real results. We are more than a relief effort—we are a movement, dedicated to rebuilding lives, restoring hope, and strengthening communities in times of crisis.
Though we are a newly formed initiative, our foundation is built on the strength of three well-established 501(c)(3) nonprofits:
- Divine Homeless Project – Led by Sofi Mamo, this organization has provided 14 years of support to unhoused communities and those in crisis.
- Mekdela Global Outreach Foundation – Founded by psychiatrist Dr. Azeb Bhutia, this nonprofit focuses on mental health support and humanitarian aid.
- Assuaged Foundation – A nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to wellness, sustainability, and crisis relief founded by Cynthia and Thane Murphy.
