Prime Time Softball League Newsroom - Profile and News Archive
In 1989, various co-ed softball games were played among television shows for pure fun. As time passed, more television shows fielded teams to participate in the weekend enjoyment. The teams consisted of cast and crew who enjoyed playing against industry peers.
Four men who managed teams of their own decided to create some type of organization to these games. Rules and regulations were established and an Executive Board was formed to run this Non-Profit League. Tom Oseransky, Rosario Roveto, Larry Rosenthal and Mike Sexton were the founders of the PRIME TIME SOFTBALL LEAGUE.
A league that originally consisted of 16 TV shows decided that this league should be unique and different from other entertainment leagues. The decision was made to only include television shows in order for fellow industry personnel to have a recreational arena purely for networking amongst their peers.
The Prime Time Softball League has been a huge success in that sense. The season spans an average of three and a half months and offers regular season games with weekly standings and scores, Conference & Divisional Playoffs, and a League Championship game. Check out some of the participants from prior seasons.
Ratings are not a factor when opponents meet on the diamond every weekend. The Prime Time Softball League's motto and most important rule is "TO HAVE FUN". The League will be around for a long time to come and all that have been involved are very proud of it! Enjoy the league.
