AUSTIN, TX – September 1 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — SPI Litigation Direct LLC has appointed Charles “Chuck” Kellner Vice President of Consulting and Project Engineering. In this position, he will consult with corporate counsel as well as outside counsel and corporate IT groups on the preservation, acquisition, search, and production of email and electronic data in litigation, mergers & acquisitions, and government investigations.
Before joining SPI, he was a recognized expert and CLE educator in the field of electronic discovery.
“Chuck brings to our team enormous experience in electronic data discovery,” said Jim Brown, President and COO of SPI Litigation Direct. “He brings data collection and preservation experience to our consulting group and is already working with new clients to design their projects. He and Ken Shear are working together to refine how clients search and understand their data.”
Chuck has worked on protocols for the exchange of electronic data in civil litigations, mergers and acquisitions, and in proceedings before the Justice Department, the FTC, and the FDA. He has testified successfully as an expert in several fraud and trade practices litigations. His background includes several years as an attorney, as a large-firm litigation support manager, and in several litigation support management and senior consulting positions.
He teaches CLE seminars to law firms and law departments and is a regular contributor to CLE publications. He is a past officer of the East Coast Association of Litigation Support Managers and an active member of EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model Project) AIIM and ARMA. He graduated from Brandeis University and earned his JD from Lewis & Clark Law School.
