EXTON, PA – September 14 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The Newcomen Society of the United States is helping Hurricane Katrina victims by donating 100% of the proceeds of their online sales, from now until December, 31, 2005, to The American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and The Salvation Army.

Since 1923, the society has supported the American free enterprise system and published over 1,600 business histories of Fortune 500 companies to the smallest family-owned businesses. These widely-read publications are used by countless libraries as well as the Harvard Business School and The Library of Congress. Since 2003, the society has sold these publications online in digital, print and audio formats. Items in the archive range from $9.95 – $40.00.

“We have hundreds of members in the Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana area and we have published the histories of some of their most successful businesses and institutions,” stated Leighton A.
