VENICE, Fla., Nov. 20, 2015 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Mahle Cool Air and Heating returned as a sponsor for the Sarasota Chalk festival. The week-long event featured artists from the across the country as well as artists from outside the United States creating large murals in colorful chalk on the streets and sidewalks of Venice island.
Known nationally and internationally, the annual Sarasota Chalk festival draws spectators in the thousands from all walks of life and from points around the globe. Originally taking place in downtown Sarasota, the festival has outgrown the parking and logistical ability of the downtown area, and has since been relocated to beautiful Venice Island where close proximity to the large amounts of space at the Venice Municipal Airport, combine with a central location and the attractions of Venice Island to make the ideal location.
Since the move, many more people have access to view the works of art before rain and weather washes the elaborate chalk paintings away. The temporary nature of the art is part of the allure that brings so many out to view the works.
Mahle Cool Air and Heating a local HVAC company, has once again taken part in this important community event by sponsoring freelance artist Craig Thomas.
A resident of Cape Girardeau Missouri, Craig Thomas as become known for his murals, chalk art and other fine art works. Thomas’s career has taken him to locations from North America to Europe and include works for private commissions, commercial projects and students.
