SONOITA, Ariz., Oct. 29, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Wilhelm Family Vineyards (WFV) is hosting their third annual Patriot Salute Wine Festival Saturday and Sunday, Nov 10 and 11, 2012, located at 21 Mountain Ranch Drive, Elgin, AZ 85611. Numerous activities and vendors are planned for the entire family.
Kevin and Karyl (owners of WFV) are Air Force veterans ourselves and continue to gear this festival toward honoring military families and their commitments and service to our country. A portion of WFV sales will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Admittance is $15. This will include a commemorative glass and eight tastes of any one of our twenty-five wine flight. Military members are admitted for $10 when they present their military ID. Admittance is free for non-tasting participants – includes those under 21 & designated drivers. Meals are available and sold separately.
Festival tasters can enjoy WFV’s large selection of over 25 internationally, nationally and local award winning wines. There will be winery and vineyard Q & A tours, a new release Zinfandel that proudly displays an absolutely beautiful label painted by world renowned artist Jim Laurier. Meals include a winemaker suggested food-pairing and old fashioned burger and hotdog BBQ. A bonfire is planned for Saturday evening – weather permitting – where you can sip on a WFV logoed ceramic mug of our famous Gluhwein.
The whole family can enjoy jumping castles, games for kids, face painting, temporary tattoos, and more. A horse-drawn wagon will provide rides from TreeHouse Farm (Alpacas, goats, and petting areas) all weekend. We’ll have live music on Saturday and you can come demonstrate your voice talents with the Karaoke Experience on Sunday. Also while you are here, enjoy local vendor’s crafts, paintings, and other amazing products.
