The patented product is CD200, an organic spray. CD200 uses chitinase, a naturally
occurring enzyme and natural enemy of the bark beetle. The product is 100% water-based
and is injected into the ground near the tree. A major plus, for campgrounds in
particular, is that the product can be used today and you can have campers an hour
later. There are no side-effects and no waiting period with CD200.
Testing was done in Idyllwild last summer on over 3,000 trees with impressive success.
Recently, Tree & Plant Rescue obtained it's first government contract with the Lake
Hemet Water District to treat over 4,000 conifers on 100 properties with the Tree
Rescue Solution. Included in this list is the 50 acre, 750 plus tree laden Lake Hemet
Water District Campground.
