New Product to Organically Treat Your Trees - There Are No Side-Effects or Waiting Periods Before You Can Enjoy The Environment As With Chemicals
BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. - July 8, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- "Don't spray chemicals on
our valley!" is the hue and cry heard throughout the Big Bear Valley, says Organic Tree
Care (www.organictreecare.com), a local company owned by Bill Irwin. There is real
concern among residents about the use of the chemical carbaryl by the U.S. Forest
Service to treat bark beetle infested trees. Tree & Plant Rescue, a firm in Cardiff,
California has a new product out that is organic in origin and completely
environmentally safe.
The patented product is CD200, an organic spray. CD200 uses chitinase, a naturally
occurring enzyme and natural enemy of the bark beetle. The product is 100% water-based
and is injected into the ground near the tree. A major plus, for campgrounds in
particular, is that the product can be used today and you can have campers an hour
later. There are no side-effects and no waiting period with CD200.
Testing was done in Idyllwild last summer on over 3,000 trees with impressive success.
Recently, Tree & Plant Rescue obtained it's first government contract with the Lake
Hemet Water District to treat over 4,000 conifers on 100 properties with the Tree
Rescue Solution. Included in this list is the 50 acre, 750 plus tree laden Lake Hemet
Water District Campground.
Organic Tree Care, a local company owned by Bill Irwin, has an exclusive agreement with
Tree & Plant Rescue to apply the solution to trees in the San Bernardino mountains.
Irwin also owns Home Chek Services located at 42460 Moonridge Road.
