Succeed on eBay with New Seminar Series for Retailers and Charities
Top Ranked eBay Sellers in New York and New Jersey partner to offer Professional E-Commerce Seminars
NEW YORK CITY, NY - August 6, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Gotham City Online
(www.gothamcityonline.com), a leading online footwear merchant and Titanium Level eBay PowerSeller has
partnered with Adam Hersh Auctions (AHA), a veteran eBay seller and professional e-commerce educator
on an education series called, "Professional E-Commerce Seminars." The two companies will jointly
lecture on all aspects of managing the growth of a successful e-commerce operation from the basics
including supplies and inventory management to advanced fulfillment to marketing.
In keeping with Gotham City Online's company policy of "giving back" the seminars will be free to
employees of non-profit organizations.
"Gotham City Online has a long tradition of giving back to the community," said Gotham City Online
President David Topkins. Gotham City Online has raised over $750,000 in cash, merchandise and services
for charity since 1999. "These seminars represent another way for us to help not only other business
owners but to also benefit those in the non-profit community, who can use these tools to raise
additional funds for their charities."
The seminars will also focus on creative ways to use ecommerce technology to benefit charitable
organizations. "These seminars are an invaluable tool for any organization interested in online
fundraising," said Adam Hersh, President of AHA, who has traveled the world lecturing on e-commerce
and eBay. "I am delighted to be part of such a unique and powerful program."
The two companies share an impressive history of helping companies and charities. In the past year
alone, Gotham City Online managed the Sex and the City auctions on eBay for HBO and advised Swarovski
on their American Heart Association online auctions. Adam Hersh has lectured across the country and
internationally, working with companies like MTV/Viacom and Big Brother/Big Sister.
The seminars will take place in downtown New York City at the Gotham City Loft, the Gotham City Online
event space. "The loft is a venue for Gotham City Online to interact with the New York City community,
and the seminars are an ideal fit," comments David Topkins. "From charity fundraisers to sample sales
to cocktail parties, we are always looking for fun and fresh ways to share the loft with friends in
our community."
The Gotham City Loft is also available for rental to non-profit companies at subsidized rates. For
