Acquisition of Key Competitor Propels Leading Cutting Die Company to the
Industry Forefront
AUBURN, ME - August 17, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- ENEFCO of Maine
acquires Industrial Cutting Die of Georgia and forms "GlobalDie" as a new
Business Unit.
While the cutting die industry is fragmented with many small, struggling
companies, GlobalDie is growing and expanding. "There is an economy of
scale," says Mike Macoy, VP of Operations. "The quality of product and
service, as well as the ability to provide quick turnaround, is dependent on
size, capability, and skill of personnel. This critical acquisition allows
us to continue to grow and provide better service on a wider range of
products."
GlobalDie is clearly on an aggressive course of expansion. According to
management, the company has been able to bring on board Scott Wherry,
Founder and President of Industrial Die. Wherry will serve as the Business
Unit manager of GlobalDie. "We are very pleased with our strategy to grow
our successful business, and are happy that we are able to offer more
employment in the Lewiston-Auburn area," says Peter Klein, CEO/President of
ENEFCO International.
According to Wherry, the future looks very bright: "My passion for Die
making, combined with the strength of GlobalDie, will allow us to continue
to identify opportunities for growth."
