Lyamec Tapped by LukOil on Libya
Article Editor: Christopher Laird Simmons
MOSCOW, Russia - November 4, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Lyamec and Associates, a legal advisory arm of Lyamec Corp. (www.lyamec.com), has been tapped by Russia's LukOil to provide legal and commercial advisory services on a major international expansion opportunity in Libya. The expansion is considered to be one of the most significant and strategic moves by the industry in North Africa to date.
"I know Lyamec is a well-represented company which specializes in legal consulting for the oil and gas industry," said Vasily Krivosheev, legal counsel for LukOil.
Lyamec and Associates' international team of legal and technical advisors plan to oversee all of the issues presented by the LukOil project.
"Once again, it clearly demonstrates the advantages of providing all of the necessary industry expertise and tools to positively address critical legal and commercial issues for foreign investors as well as the Libyan government from a single, integrated firm," R. Raymond, interim CEO of the Lyamec Group said in a prepared statement.
"Once the terms are finalized, the aim is to work in tandem with both parties to assure a mutual and beneficial outcome on all issues of concern," added Raymond. "It is important that foreign investors in all fields and industries understand the background and the unique challenges from a 'technical aspect.' The Libyan Government is eager to reach out to the international community, so long as the cultural background and views are considered."
Lyamec and Associates, a legal and commercial advisory arm of The Lyamec Group, has built a solid base, since 1999, for positively addressing legal and complex regulatory issues for local and foreign enterprises related to Libya.
