Little Scoops to Open New Pleasantville Location
Article Editor: Carly Zander
The Sweetest Party Place in Town Comes to Westchester County in January 2005
BLAUVELT, NY - November 18, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Little Scoops Franchise Corp., the Blauvelt, New York-based company that franchises and operates children's party rooms called Little Scoops, today announced they will be opening a second location in Pleasantville, New York, in January, 2005. The new corporate-owned Little Scoops, located at 60-62 Washington Avenue in Pleasantville, will serve as a Westchester-based showpiece for the company's newly launched franchise opportunity. The original flagship Little Scoops, which opened in Blauvelt, New York in 2002, became something of an instant hit with Rockland County children and their parents.
Little Scoops consists of a party room where children play a variety of interactive games that are set to popular, age-appropriate music. Pizza is served along with birthday cake and when it is time for the ice cream, the party moves to the front room, which is decorated like a retro 1950's ice cream parlor. The children get to create their own sundaes with a wide selection of colorful toppings. To further the concept's nostalgic appeal, the new Pleasantville location will also feature diner-style booths in the ice cream parlor room.
"We're very excited to bring Little Scoops to Westchester County," said company co-founder, Michelle Violetto. "With the success we've had in Rockland, and the interest in the concept from Westchester parents, the new Pleasantville location just seemed like a perfect fit."
Violetto, along with partner Tanya Ehrlich, came up with the Little Scoops concept mainly as a response to the lack of interesting spaces available for their own children's parties. The partners knew they were on to something big when they were booked solid for two months, even before the grand opening of the Blauvelt location. Ehrlich, a former bank executive, who lives in Nyack, New York, stated, "Little Scoops is a concept that just works. I think the magic probably lies in the simplicity of it all. Who doesn't like ice cream?"
Little Scoops Franchise Corp., operates and franchises innovative children's parties rooms. Providing interactive games, age-appropriate dancing and delicious party fare in a unique, retro 1950's ice cream parlor setting, Little Scoops sets the new standard for children's parties.
