Compassionate Kids Make Milestones In Senior Independence

Holiday Baskets to Tribute Senior Citizens
ATLANTA, GA - December 8, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- During this holiday season, many functionally impaired senior citizens are without family and friends with whom to share a meal, exchange gifts, or receive the compassion of a loving touch. Thanks to the generous donation of Compassionate Kids, some of Atlanta's senior citizens will receive the gift of compassion this holiday season through the collaboration between Compassionate Kids, Inc. and Milestones In Senior Independence, Inc.
Compassionate Kids is a national non-profit organization dedicated to teaching children compassion. This program is designed to introduce compassion in three main areas: towards the Earth, People, and Animals. This holiday season, Compassionate Kids honored Milestones In Senior Independence, Inc., with the privilege of distributing the 80 gift baskets that were individually created by the members of Compassionate Kids for senior citizens.
The event took place on December 4, 2004 at Reynolds Nature Preserve where the children brought all donated items and prepared the gift baskets.
Distribution of the baskets will take place December 10 - December 22, 2004, by Milestones In Senior Independence, Inc.
Milestones In Senior Independence is a nonprofit organization that provides an array of at-home services such as grocery shopping, housekeeping, home repairs, and companionship, which make it possible for senior citizens to continue living independently in their home and community.
Compassionate Kids' commitment to serving others demonstrates their capacity to feel and show compassion toward our elders through its collaboration with Milestones In Senior Independence, Inc.
