NEW YORK, NY - May 23, 2003 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- "World's Largest Serving of Fish & Chips" is the big catch for Gadaleto's Fry Team USA (www.gadaletos.com) as they vie for the Guinness World Record title, long-coveted on both sides of the Pond, and currently held by the British.

Chef John Vargo and crew of Gadaleto's, the Hudson Valley's most popular seafood restaurant and market, will attempt to fry a single piece of fish weighing more than 40-pounds, approximately 20 pounds of chips (a.k.a. American fried potato or French fry) and a little vinegar, of course.

The day-long celebration, on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, will feature live music, comedy and fun for the whole family. The event will benefit the New Paltz Teen Seen, a community-supported youth center providing after-school and weekend activities for at-risk teenagers.
