(www.myzipsoft.com) has released a new software product, MyPhotoZip, an ultra-compression tool for compressing images up to ratios of 1500:1. These previously unattainable ratios are accomplished by using a unique Wavelet and Fractal Recomposition algorithm (WFR).

MyPhotoZip saves users valuable time by reducing large and bulky image files prior to saving for archival purposes, or online transmission. It enables transferring large images faster than any software application presently on the market. This is essential when using a dial-up connection which is incredibly slow to start with, but becomes tedious when large files, such as photography or design proofs/comps, must be downloaded. MyPhotoZip also reduces the need for ever-larger storage devices like hard drives because of the lossless-compression option.

An elegant, and important, feature is the image quality "slide bar," which permits a user to adjust the image to an optimum size then preview it before saving as a "MPZ" (.mpz) format file. A free compact Viewer application is available online for viewing saved files, and may be freely redistributed with compacted files. MyPhotoZip is also capable of returning saved images back to their original format, such as TIF or BMP.

MyPhotoZip is available in three different editions, depending on the complexity of the application and the needs of the user. MSRP starts at $9.95 for the 200:1 compression edition, $19.95 for the 1000:1 edition, and $39.95 for 1500:1 professional edition. It is important to note that the final compression ratios will vary depending on the file size and density of the original image. MPZ technology is currently the only compression tool able to achieve these high ratios, while retaining usable or lossless quality of images.
