AEROGROUP SIGNS CONTRACT WITH THE ROYAL NETHERLANDS AIR FORCE (RNLAF)
MELBOURNE, Fla. - June 11, 2003 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- AeroGroup International
Corporation (Pink Sheets:DRGR) announced today that it has signed a contract
with the RNLAF to provide operational support for F-16 training exercises
conducted in Military Operating Areas (MOA) located in Florida. The contract is
unique and the first of its kind, where an allied NATO country is utilizing a
U.S. civilian contractor to perform services that were only provided by the U.S.
Government previously.
The Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) will be using the contract with
AeroGroup as an initial "test case" contract for a period of approximately
six-week deployment, with an approximate $1,500,000.00 gross revenue expenditure
by the RNLAF to complete the exercise. During the exercise, the RNLAF will be
basing nine F-16's and support equipment at AeroGroup's Melbourne facility,
under high security.
AeroGroup's CEO, Mark Daniels, stated "If all goes well with the exercise,
AeroGroup could receive a multi-year contract from the RNLAF. The RNLAF are
known to be on the cutting-edge and leaders in the F-16 NATO community, as other
NATO countries tend to follow their lead. This is a tremendous opportunity for
AeroGroup as we are already receiving inquiries from other NATO allied countries
to perform the same type services for them."
About the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF)
The RNLAF is a NATO member and has been conducting training in the U.S. for more
than a decade. The RNLAF was one of the first outside of the U.S. Air Force to
operate the F-16. Recently, the RNLAF cancelled its F-16 operations in Goose
Bay, Canada and El Centro, California and began looking for alternative methods
of fulfilling its training requirements.
