ISR RELEASES NEXT-GENERATION E-MAIL SYSTEM FOR THE U.S.
FOSTER CITY, CALIF. - August 21, 2003 (Send2Press Newswire) -- Tokyo-based
software technology maker International Systems Research (www.isrus.com) today
announced the release of the U.S. edition of its next-generation mobile
e-mail system, @Box. Originally developed in 2000, @Box was one of the
first corporate e-mail systems accessible via cell phone on the i-mode
network.
After several years of use by more than seventy-five thousand mobile
subscribers in Japan, @Box has been uniquely fine-tuned to meet the needs
of both wireless users and their wired counterparts. Today it is used by
companies such as NTT DoCoMo, Sharp, and Kyocera.
@Box provides real-time mobile access to e-mail, a feature that spares the
user from having to synchronize or re-process mail back at the office.
Its unique forwarding functions allow users to have their e-mail follow
them whenever they choose, wherever they are.
"New technologies must help companies retain a competitive advantage
without adding complexity or costs to their operations" stated Dr. Raul
Mendez, CEO of International Systems Research. "@Box gives companies the
opportunity to deploy next-generation e-mail solutions without making a
large investment," he added.
The U.S. edition of @Box supports English and Japanese language, and may
be accessed using WAP or Microsoft Pocket PC devices on GPRS and CDMA2000
networks globally, as well as on any of Japan's cellular networks.
