Essays Wanted for 'The American Chronicles' a New Series of Original Books Covering the Human Condition and Life In America

Vancouver, BC - Nov. 19, 2003 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- The American
Chronicles group (www.essayaward.com) today announced that its editorial
committee is now accepting essays from authors for its American
Chronicles Essay Award and Book Series. The American Chronicles Essay
Award has been established in order to promote and support writings by
individual Americans that contribute to an understanding and
appreciation of what Americans think and feel about a variety of topics
basic to the human condition and to life in America.
The American Chronicles Award is in the amount of $500 US, and will
be given to the most outstanding essay. Other outstanding essays will
receive a Certificate of Award and will be selected for publication in
the American Chronicles Series.
Applicants may submit biographical essays on one or more topics such as:
marriage and sexuality, atheism or theism, the meaning of life, foster
care, depression, homelessness, being black or hispanic in America,
being divorced, being poor, being homosexual. Each essay must total
between 1,000 to 1,200 words.

receiving essays from authors interested in participating in this very
important task of publishing the experiences and thoughts of the
American people," says Mr. Daniel M. Keeran, MSW, one of the committee
chairpersons. Additional committee members include Dr. Dale Brooks,
Psychologist, and Dr. Max Innes, Family Therapist.
SRP for the first edition will be $30 US, with exact page count yet to
be determined. Publication date is dependent on the number of essays
submitted and time for review and revisions; with the first edition
expected to be published Spring of 2004.
Upon publication, the writers of all selected essays will also receive a
complimentary copy of the American Chronicles Series volume in which
their essay appears.
Essays must be submitted as an email attached file in Microsoft® Word,
or pasted into an email message to the American Chronicles Award
Committee. All essay submissions become the property of the publisher.
