Integrated Performance Moves On Wireless Consolidation
DALLAS, TX - Dec. 17, 2003 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- AXcess News
(www.theaxcess.net) announced today that they have released a story
showing that the wireless component manufacturer, Integrated Performance
Systems (OTCBB: IPFS), isn't the only one who sees growth in the
wireless industry following the company's acquisition announcement
Tuesday. S&P's telecommunications equity analyst Todd Rosenbluth agrees.
The announcement came on the heels of an earlier press release Nov 20th
in which IPFS disclosed that it had secured a $6.2 million financing
commitment for acquisition funding from Dallas-based SMI Chips Inc.
D. Ron Allen, Integrated Performance's president had stated that his
company's objectives were to build a $40 million dollar a year wireless
component manufacturing business through an acquisition and merger
approach.
Allen isn't the only one who sees wireless markets growing. In a story
published Dec. 14 (see, http://www.theaxcess.net/analysts_1214.html)
AXcess News covered Standard & Poor's telecommunications equity analyst
Todd Rosenbluth, who expects access line losses to widen as a greater
percentage of consumers "cut the cord" and the carriers see more minutes
of use flow to wireless networks.
At the core of Integrated Performance's component manufacturing business
lies wireless circuit boards used by those very carriers S&P believes
will see that growth and with greater numbers of consumers in the USA
switching to wireless services, IPFS' previous acquisition, SMS
technology provider VoIUM Ltd. of Singapore could see even greater value
in that market.
While Integrated Performance's revenue picture is slowly improving,
investors need to look at this business as a niche player, which would
put Allen's $40 million dollar target at the top of its league in
specialty high-end circuit board manufacturing. As it stands, its
largest competitor is estimated to produce only $10 million in sales
with no substantiation of those numbers.
