Hooker & Holcombe Companies Restructure to Feature Consulting Services
HARTFORD, CT - February 10, 2004 - /Send2Press Newswire/ - Arthur J. Assantes, President of Hooker &

Hartford, CT, today announced a restructuring that will facilitate the delivery of the company's
consulting services. Hooker & Holcombe has created two new, wholly-owned subsidiaries to enhance the
array of professional services available to retirement plan sponsors.
In addition to actuarial consulting, which is the specialty of the parent company, institutional
investment advisory services will now be provided by Hooker & Holcombe Investment Advisors, Inc.,
headed by Timothy C. Burns, President and Chief Investment Officer, and Keith W. Boyce, Vice
President and Director of Investment and Technology Operations.
The focus of this advisory group is to provide plan sponsors with independent, expert and
comprehensive advice relating to investment policy, asset allocation and investment selection, as
well as ongoing monitoring and reporting. Clients employ this type of independent process to satisfy
themselves that they are meeting their responsibilities as a plan fiduciary.
Also under the restructuring, 401(k) plans and other defined contribution plan services will now be
provided by Hooker & Holcombe Retirement Services, Inc. Hooker & Holcombe Retirement Services will
concentrate on providing cost effective, full service solutions for employers that maintain 401(k) or
other types of defined contribution plans. Their DC PensionEdge delivers a comprehensive internet-
based platform for employer 401(k) plans.
Daily trading of hundreds of name brand mutual funds is accomplished through the well-respected
