National Dinner Theatre Association To Hold Auditions
ROCK ISLAND, IL - Feb. 10, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- The National Dinner Theatre Association (NDTA -
www.ndta.com) has announced its 26th Annual Spring Auditions and Conference to be held March 13 through 16,
2004, at the Sheraton 4 Points Hotel in Rock Island, IL.
On Monday, March 15 more than 25 NDTA producers will be casting for their 2004-2005 seasons, representing
thousands of actor work weeks. Again this year a number of non-dinner theatre producers and directors will
also be casting.
The audition process begins at 9 a.m. on March 15. Auditionees are allotted one minute for a prepared
monologue plus 16 bars of music (an accompanist will be provided). The cost is $35 until March 8, after
that date is $40 and day of auditions is $45. The 200 audition slots will be available by appointment and
"stand by" slots will also be available. Dance auditions will be held following the auditions and then
callbacks in the evening with individual producers.
This will be the second year that all auditionees will have their pictures and resumes posted on the NDTA
website (www.ndta.com) for members and casting representatives to peruse for one year.
In addition to the auditions, the four-day conference will include business meetings, workshops, networking
and a trip to Circa'21 Dinner Playhouse to see the musical revue 'Smokey Joe's Café'.
The National Dinner Theatre Association is a service organization of 41 dinner theatres from across the
nation. Founded in 1978, the membership continues to grow with three dinner theatres in development.
Members are both Equity (the actors union) and Non-Equity.
