Things Get Wild In Southern California with Humorist Rebecca Bardsley and the Company Comedy Company
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Feb. 11, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Humorist and entrepreneur Rebecca Bardsley
takes the over 30 crowd beyond Baywatch and into burlesque with the debut of her all-girl variety show,
"Older Girls Gone Reasonably Wild," premiering March 11th at the Mezzanine Restaurant in Orange County.
The show is presented by Tustin-based Company Comedy Company (companycomedycompany.com), an
entertainment firm founded by Rebecca Bardsley that creates customized comedy sketches for corporate
clients including Disney, DirecTV, Toyota, Sanwa Bank, Fisher & Paykel, Manulife Financial and Neoforma.
The all-female cast uses comedic sketches, improvisation, and the notoriety of an infamous video series to
lampoon the culture of female cliché.
Some topics that will be touched on in the show include Botox parties, drunk bachelorettes, beauty
pageants, and water retention. "Let's just say we've put the barb in Barbie and a computerized chip in
Ken," laughs show creator Bardsley.
Running consecutive Thursday nights at 8:00pm, "Older Girls" features cast members whose credits include,
"Providence", "CSI", "Everwood", "Grounded for Life", "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" and "The Sopranos", as
well as coast-to-coast stage credits including "Boo!" at the Rita Rudner Theater in Las Vegas, Chicago City
Limits, TheaterSports and Houseful of Honkeys in LA.
The show also features special musical guest, Australian rocker Jack Avalon, who brings his voice, guitar
and more than his fair share of testosterone to the show. Avalon has toured the US extensively with mentor
Joe Walsh, appeared on the hit series, "ER", and has performed on LA's KROQ and the Mark and Brian show on
KLOS.
Tickets are $15, cocktails, appetizers and desserts are available, and the promotional materials invite
ladies to "hold on" to their Wonderbras for a night of "high-estrogen, no stress and fun."
