Anything Goes in The Double Os - Author Marcus Dino and iUniverse, Inc. Announce the Publication of Dino's Debut Novel, 'FiFi'
LOS ANGELES, CA - April 13, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Marcus Dino's entertaining
first novel "Fifi: Anything Goes in the Double Os" about an all American Midwestern
girl who goes to Hollywood seeking her fame and fortune was published today on
iUniverse (www.iuniverse.com).
Excerpt from "Fifi" by Marcus Dino
"Mansions and fancy clothes and expensive sports cars," she muttered to herself as
she headed toward the coffee shop. "I'll be on top of the world soon, yep it won't be
long before they call me 'Fifi Larouche, the Queen of Sheba.' I'll be the hottest thing
to hit Hollywood this century and maybe the last one too."
She smiled to herself.
"After all, anything goes in the double Os."
Hollywood can be a cold and unforgiving place to a young neophyte actress in the New
Millennium. Fifi Larouche is determined, however, not to let getting rejected from
audition after audition stop her from reaching her goal: becoming a rich and famous
actress in a very short period of time.
Along the way, Fifi must endure all the trials and tribulations of trying to make it
in Hollywood, and she meets many colorful characters along the way. Charles, Fifi's
cynical father wants her to quit wasting her time in "LaLa land" and come back to her
hometown of Des Moines, Iowa to work as a banker. Biff, Fifi's on again, off again
boyfriend who is also struggling to find acting work, and Kerry, an actress whom Fifi
considers her rival can't stand to see Fifi enjoying any kind of success.
The story has many twists and turns with a surprise twist ending that will keep
readers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
Marcus Dino is a lifelong movie fan, and has been fascinated by the glitz and glamour
of Hollywood for as long as he can remember. Mr. Dino visited several Hollywood
studios and consulted with individuals in the entertainment field while researching
this novel. Mr. Dino lives in Arcadia, California.
